The Corona Del Sol Choir Program is a community of students from a variety of backgrounds. There are four amazing and dedicated choirs of varying levels, which perform throughout the school year at many times and venues. However, all choirs perform in four main concerts during the year (Fall, Holiday, Spring, and Pops - Please refer to our calendar for specific dates!)

Jaztecs is a choir 7-8 class that takes place during 0-hour. They are a highly-skilled chamber choir who not only perform classical styles of music, but also Jazz, Pop, and Show tunes. Jaztecs annually attends the Northern Arizona University Jazz/Madrigal Festival in February, as well as sings at various functions throughout the school year. In class, students hone their musicality and fine tune complex harmonization, all while developing an advanced singing and musical techniques.

A Cappella is a choir 5-6 class that takes place during 1st and 2nd period. They are the advanced, mixed concert-choir. These students strengthen their skills in sight-reading, vocal technique, music theory, and performance that they learned in previous choirs. They perform Hallelujah by Handel with the Alumni Choir at the Holiday Concerts, as well as study major works and concert choir repertoire. Students in A Cappella are also allowed to audition for Jaztecs!

Encore is a choir 3-4 class and takes place during 5th hour. They are the advanced women's choir comprised of students from grades ten through twelve. These women grow musically during the year, developing their skills in sight-reading, vocal technique specialized for women's voices, music theory, and performance. Every year, Encore and A Cappella travel on a tour to perform with local schools and churches in California!

Bella Voce is a choir 1-2 class that takes place during 6th hour. They are the entry level women's choir, who also learn and skills in matching pitch, sight-reading, beginning vocal technique, and vocal performance through exciting music and experiences! Along with the other choirs, they put on four concerts a year across eight different nights!

Novum is a choir 1-2 class that we are unable to have this year. They are the entry level men's choir. These students develop and build skills in matching pitch, sight-reading, beginning vocal technique and performance. While the students in Novum are known for their quirky, comical numbers, they also perform classical pieces.
